We’re teaming up to with our friends at OV Connect - the young professionals’/leaders’ group in Wheeling - to coordinate a joint event benefiting WVU’s Children’s Hospital. Generation Morgantown has coordinated a beer tasting at the West Virginia Brewing Company in Morgantown for Friday, September 5th beginning at 5:30 p.m. OV Connect will be hosting a similar beer tasting event on September 19th at Carenbauer Distributing, 1900 Jacob St., Wheeling, at 7:30 p.m., and will also be collecting donations for the WVU Children’s Hospital . This is a great chance to network with folks from another part of the state!
Generation Morgantown’s First Friday will include a beer tasting with live music and prizes. We will collect baby booties, sippie cups, baby spoons, onesies, kids’ bandaids, and other items that the Children’s Hospital needs on an ongoing basis. A $5.00 admission fee will be charged to anyone who doesn’t bring a donation of one of the items mentioned. The director of the WVU Children’s Hospital will be there to say a special thank you to our two groups (OV Connect and Generation Morgantown) for what we are doing to help the kids at the Children’s Hospital.
UPCOMING EVENT
Wine & Jazz Festival - Generation Morgantown is considering reserving a bus to be used exclusively by Generation Morgantown members as a shuttle to and from the Wine & Jazz Festival on Sunday, September 14th. Members will be responsible for ticket prices ($15) and nominal bus fees (approximately $5, depending on interest). Please RSVP to ahardesty@bowlesrice.com if you will take advantage of a Generation Morgantown shuttle bus. If there is sufficient interest, we’ll send another email with the details.
