FORMER WVU offensive lineman Brian Jozwiak, a consensus All-American in 1985, will debut the “Jozwiak’s Maniacs” skill academy for linebackers and offensive and defensive linemen June 20 at University High in Morgantown.
“I am really excited about coming back to West Virginia to coach the upcoming hogs,” said Jozwiak, who was drafted No. 7 overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in 1986 and played three NFL seasons before a career-ending hip injury. “Who knows? There just might be another All-American in the wings for the Mountaineers.”
The event is open to players about to enter grades seven through 12. It will feature “personal instructions from former NFL and major-college level players who will provide coaching on the intricacies and skill-sets needed to play at the next level,” as well as a standard combine.
Registration is $75 before May 29 and $100 after that. For information or registration, log on to SportsWeave.com/combines.
Proceeds will benefit the WVU Children’s Hospital. Jozwiak has conducted a charity golf tournament to help the hospital since 1991.
