Habitat For Humanity Build Tonight Wed. Sept. 16, 4-8pm.
The Generation Morgantown build will be at 1202 Tyson St. between the Mileground and Sabraton - detailed directions are provided below. After the work is over, we will meet at Mario’s Fishbowl nearby to celebrate our efforts.
Directions
From down town follow Willey St. away from campus.
After you pass the Dairy Mart on the right, veer to the right onto Richwood Ave.
Richwood is a winding road. Follow Richwood for a ways until you reach a four way stop.
Turn right at the stop sign and continue you come to a stop light.
At the stop light turn left up Darst Ave.
Take the third right, almost at the top of the hill, called Central Ave.
Follow Central around a left hand bend in the road and continue until you see Tyson St (less than ¼ of a mile).Turn right onto Tyson.
The work site is on your left close to the top of the hill.
Parking
Note: We cannot park in the road.
Follow Central Ave and turn right on the road after Tyson St.
About ¾ of the way up the hill on your right, after the last trailer, is an empty plot with gravel, park here.To get to the work site walk up the road and turn right after the house next to the parking lot. It will take you back to Tyson and the work site will be on your right.
October First Friday - Arts Walk
October’s First Friday will take place October 2, at Riverstone on Chestnut Street. This months event coincides with downtown’s annual Arts Walk. Generation Morgantown and Riverstone will host a band as part of the festivities. Start your evening off at Generation Morgantown’s First Friday and spend the rest of the night experiencing great art and entertainment. Start Cleaning Out Those Closets… Generation Morgantown Coat Drive!
The Generation Morgantown Community Service Committee has set the goal of collecting 100 new or slightly used coats for persons in need this winter. Coats will be collected at the November First Friday at Gibbies. Arrangements for pick up or drop off can be made by calling Brandi Potock at (304) 296-7525.
