Generation Morgantown Blood Drive This Friday - February 27th.
Generation Morgantown sponsors quarterly blood drives at the American Red Cross Donation Center at 1233-10 Pineview Drive (Rear). There will be giveaways and food.
Blood donations are taken between 11:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

Community Service Committee Planning Meeting, Upcoming Events & News
The Generation Morgantown Community Service Committee will have its next planning meeting at 4:30 PM, on March 3. The meeting will take place at the American Red Cross office at 1299 Pineview Drive, third floor. Past events include Dogfest, Habitat for Humanity builds, Rosenbaum Family House dinners and an annual fundraiser for the arts. Please come out if you would like to serve on the committee, would like to help with an event or have new ideas on how Generation Morgantown may impact our community. This meeting will focus on planning for Dogfest 2009. Last year’s event went to the dogs and included a race, special presentations by search and rescue and K-9 units and a best looking dog contest. The event benefited BOPARC’s dog park and other non-profit organizations. We hope to see you there!
Generation Morgantown will serve dinner to the residents of Rosenbaum Family House on April 29th. If you would like to help cook, serve or participate in anyway please e-mail Jack Thompson at tojackthompson@aol.com.
The December First Friday raised over $900 to benefit the arts. The money was donated to M.T. Pockets Theatre Company to purchase wireless mikes for use at the Met Theatre. The new microphones will also allow the company to perform on the stage at the riverfront park. The money was also used as a match for other grants.
March First Friday at McClafferty’s
We had a great turnout at the February First Friday at Babs with special musical guest 6′6 240 and hope that you will join us for our March First Friday at McClafferty’s Irish Pub, located at 1301 University Avenue. Please join us at McClafferty’s on March 6, 2009, beginning at 5:30 p.m., and take advantage of social and business networking opportunities among others who live and/or work in Morgantown. McClafferty’s will have free appetizers and $1.00 off all drinks. We look forward to seeing you on March 6th!
