November First Friday at Gibbie’s Pub - Don’t Forget Your Coat!
Please join Generation Morgantown for our next First Friday, November 6, 2009 at Gibbie’s Pub, on High Street, in downtown Morgantown. The networking and fun begins at 5:30 pm.
This month at First Friday the Generation Morgantown Community Service Committee will be collecting mens, womens and childrens coats to benefit the Warming Hearts, Warming Hands program. We hope to collect 50 coats!You may also drop donations off at the Red Cross Building on Pine View Drive and United Way on Spruce Street. Questions? Call Mary at 296-0228.
Habitat for Humanity Build
12 volunteers from Generation Morgantown volunteered on September, 16 2009 for Habitat for Humanity. The volunteers worked on 2 houses on Tyson Street - between the Mileground and Sabraton. Work included nailing “backers” into the ceiling to prepare for subsequent drywalling, installing insulation in the ceilings, cutting trim for the interior and spackling to prepare for painting. The group cleaned up and a small crew stopped over at the Mario’s for a couple of Fishbowls - a good time was had by all. The group was organized and led by Briggs White.
