The West Virginia University Business Incubator is one step closer to receiving a new tenant, as the West Virginia Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition has announced 20 semi-finalists.
The competition consists of students submitting their best business plans to open a business in West Virginia.
Each winner in the two categories will receive a $10,000, as well as a prize package valued at $6,600 that includes legal services, accounting services, and either virtual or physical space at the Business Incubator.
The second round of the competition will be held Nov. 17 at the I-79 Technology Park Research Center in Fairmont.
This year’s semi-finalists are from Fairmont State University, Potomac State College at West Virginia University, Shepherd University, the University of Charleston and West Virginia University.
